Getting Married in Indiana
What you need to know

Requirements
Minister Registration-No
In Indiana, ministers do not need to register with the Secretary of State to perform a wedding.
Marriage License-YES
The wedding couple must have an Indiana marriage license before the ceremony.
In Indiana, marriage licenses expire 60 days after they are issued, so it needs to be used before that date.
Government officials need the signed and completed marriage license to be returned to them by the expiration date.
Waiting Period-No
Additional Information:
There is no waiting period assessed.
No blood test is required.
Proof of divorce IS required when applying for marriage license in some counties. All require date of divorce.
Premarital counseling is NOT required.
Age of Marriage: 18 years old
Witnesses are NOT required.
